Asheville Man Dies In Moped Accident

A man from Asheville has died in a wreck involving a moped. A man from Asheville has died in a wreck involving a moped.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - A man has died due to injuries sustained in a wreck involving a moped in Asheville.

The wreck happened Friday night at 9:50 p.m. on Patton Avenue at Mimosa Drive.

According to Sergeant Dave Romick of the Asheville Police Department, 26-year-old Graham Smith Shepley, of Asheville, was traveling east on Patton Avenue when a sedan driven by Dimitiry Vasil Stynka, 34, also of Asheville, began to turn left off of Patton Avenue onto Mimosa Drive and collided with the moped. Shepley was pronounced dead at the scene.

Romick said that no charges have been filed and the report will be presented to the Buncombe County District Attorney's Office once the investigation is completed.
