ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. - April 2, 2013 Update

A third robbery in the past few days has been reported in Pendleton and sheriff's deputies are treating at least two of the crimes as related.

The Dollar General store on South Mechanic Street was robbed around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says a man wearing a wig and a white mask came into the store armed with a knife and demanded money from a cashier.

He then left the store on foot. ACSO deputies and dogs searched the area, but found no sign of the suspected robber.

We're told the description of the suspect from Tuesday night matched a man who reportedly robbed a Bojangles restaurant earlier this week.

ACSO investigators are treating those two crimes as related.

Reporting by Rob Landreth

Deputies in Anderson County are investigating two armed robberies that happened Sunday in Pendleton.

According to the sheriff's office, a man walked into the Bojangles on Highway 76 around 8pm armed with a butcher knife. He took money and ran away. A K-9 tracking team was unable to find him.

Around 11:35pm, there was a call for an armed robbery at Plez-U on E. Main Street in Pendleton. Deputies say three men in black hoodies, blue jeans and white bandanas demanded cash from the clerk. Two of the men had handguns, according to the sheriff's office. The tracking teen and helicopter was unable to find them.

No one was hurt in either robbery. Call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC if you have information.
