Gray Court, S.C. -
A Gray Court man didn't tell his wife he won $200,000 in the lottery, he had the clerk inform her.
A woman working the morning shift at Sav-Way on Highway 76 West in Hickory Tavern got to deliver the good news.
The customer - who wasn't identified by S.C. Lottery officials - won the money from a $10 Instant jackpot scratch-off ticket. The winner discovered he'd won the big money while sitting in his truck.
He came back into the store and asked the employee to call his wife for him.
"I was tickled for him," Debra Moore said. She was the clerk on duty who made the call. "He works hard and if anybody deserves it, he does."
This is the second big lottery win at the Sav-Way store.  In 2008 they sold a $200,000 winning Powerball® ticket.
