Easley Police say they are looking for the driver of a car that wrecked after running off the road following a chase by two police departments.

The Highway Patrol says it happened around 8:05 pm Thursday on Old Easley Bridge Road, about 2.5 miles east of Easley.

Troopers say the driver of the car from Liberty was driving a 2009 Dodge when it ran off the road and hit a guard rail.

Troopers say the driver then took off on foot and left behind a 25 year old passenger from Easley and two children, one who was less than a year old and another that was one year old.

None of the passengers was injured.

Police say the driver has yet to be apprehended and a K-9 unit search for the man was called off Thursday night.

Police say they have not released the identity of the driver, but they have a good idea of who the driver is and once the identity is confirmed, warrants will be obtained on him.

Easley Police tell 7 On Your Side they were attempting to stop the car and the same car had ran from Liberty Police moments earlier and they  do not know why the driver failed to stop.
