The city of Hendersonville has a contract to purchase the property at the corner of 6th Street and North Oak Street.  The county will design, construct and pay for the building. HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. - Plans are in the works for a new 60,000-square-foot educational campus for health care sciences.

Henderson County, the City of Hendersonville, the Henderson County Hospital Corporation, Blue Ridge Community College, and Wingate University announced the partnership today. The facility near Pardee Hospital should be finished by December 1, 2015. Leaders say it will improve educational opportunities and medical care for people in Henderson county by strengthening ties between the hospital, higher education, and municipal groups.

The city of Hendersonville has a contract to purchase the property at the corner of 6th Street and North Oak Street. The county will design, construct and pay for the building.

Students will be able to study the fields of nursing, surgical technology, nursing assistant, and phlebotomy, physician assistant, pharmacy, and MBA programs. Over 400 students, faculty, and staff will be based in the facility.
