SPARTANBURG, S.C - A teenager was arrested after Spartanburg County Sheriff's investigators say he pulled over a woman and pretended to be a police officer.

Deputies arrested Anthony Huston, 17, of Spartanburg, and charged him with impersonating an officer.

According to a report obtained from the sheriff's office, the incident happened around 9 a.m. on March 24. The report states that a woman told deputies that she was on her way to work when a gray SUV with tinted windows turned on its emergency lights. The woman stated that she passed a four way stop and a couple of houses before she pulled into a nearby Li'l Cricket.

The woman stated that the suspect, identified as Huston, approached her car and told her that he had pulled her over for speeding and was going to give her a warning. The report states that the suspect gave the woman his business card and told her, "if you need anything give me a call."

The woman stated that the card did not pertain to anything related to law enforcement and she contacted her husband. She then followed the SUV until it made a U-turn and her husband called the number on the card but it went to voicemail. After speaking with deputies, investigators placed the business card into evidence and later determined that there were no traffic stops in the area at the time of the encounter.

Huston was arrested and charged Friday. He has since been released from the Spartanburg County Detention Center on bond.
