Union Police: Kid Steals BB Gun, Shoots At Cars

UNION, S.C. - Union Police say a 12-year-old boy stole a BB gun from a Dollar General store and used it to shoot at cars in a parking lot on the N. Duncan Bypass.

Police were called to the scene after a man said his car had been hit by something.

He told police he stopped to talk to the boy, and the boy threw the BB gun in a trash can and walked away.

The boy told police he stole the gun from a store.

A report filed by the Dollar General store on N. Duncan Bypass confirmed the theft.

The 12-year-old is charged with shoplifting, discharging firearms in the city limits, and malicious damage.
