SPARTANBURG, S.C. -

We were honored by the Associated Press last year by being awarded the best TV website in the state.  Now, WSPA.com has been honored with the Edward R. Murrow Award for best large market website in the region, which covers five states.

The Radio Television Digital News Association announced the regional winners Tuesday.

"RTDNA is proud to be able to honor the best of local broadcast and digital journalism with these prestigious awards while honoring the legacy of Edward R. Murrow," said Chairman Chris Carl. "I would like to personally congratulate all the regional winners and wish them luck as they move on to the national competition."

RTDNA received more than 4,000 entries during the 2014 awards season.

Judging for the national competition will take place in May.
