2 arrested in April 26 shooting on New Bern Ave in Raleigh

The Raleigh Police Department announced two men were arrested in connection with an April 26 shooting incident.

Isiah Alexander Owens, 25, and Shawn Cordellro Jones, 26,  were arrested in Elizabeth City but members of the Raleigh Police Department, the Pasquotank Sheriff's Office and the SBI.

Both men have each been charged with one count of murder in connection with the death of Thomas Anthony Weiner and with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury in connection with the gunshot wounds sustained by Fred Douglas Hodge Jr. and Ramon Lee Lyon on April 26 in the 1400 block of New Bern Avenue.

Weiner, 30, was shot and killed last month. The surviving victims are Fred Douglas Hodge Jr., 61, and Ramon Lee Lyon, 38.

Owens and Jones will be transported to Raleigh were they will be processed in the Wake County Jail, police said.
