Man Shot; Spartanburg Sheriff's Still Looking for Suspect

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. - Spartanburg County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a suspect after a man was shot at Quail Point Apartments on Blackstock Road. The suspect is described as a light skinned black male standing over six feet tall.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the apartments in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, the deputy found a man laying on the ground at the Old Anderson Mill Rd entrance to the apartment complex. The male was alive and had a gun shot wound to his stomach.

The victim told police that someone came up behind and said "Give it up". The victim then turned around and saw the suspect holding a handgun.

The victim then told police he turned around to run and the suspect began firing.

Police also located a witness who stated they heard multiple gun shots and their kitchen window was shot. Police were able to located a bullet inside the witnesses kitchen.
