Spring Rabies Clinics Scheduled In Haywood County

Rabies Clinics Set for Haywood Co. Rabies Clinics Set for Haywood Co.
HAYWOOD COUNTY, N.C. - Haywood County is holding server al Rabies Clinics this week to help you get your pets vaccinated. North Carolina law states all dogs, cats and ferrets older than four months must be vaccinated against rabies.

The clinics will be held from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Rabies shots will cost you $9. 

Here's a list of scheduled clinics:
  • Monday, May 19– Riverbend Elementary School and Old Fines Creek School 
  • Tuesday, May 20 – Canton Middle School (bus parking lot) 
  • Wednesday, May 21 - Hazelwood Elementary School 
  • Thursday, May 22 – Jonathan Valley School 
  • Friday, May 23 – Bethel Middle School (bus parking lot)
Participating veterinary clinics include Animal Hospital of Waynesville, Balsam Animal Hospital, Canton Animal Hospital, Country Lane Animal Hospital, Junaluska Animal Hospital and Maple Tree Veterinary Hospital.

Most veterinary hospitals will also offer rabies shots for $9 during normal business hours on each of the clinic days.
