Dozens Of Tires Slashed in Greenville Co. Neighborhood Again

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. -

Greenville County Sheriff's deputies are trying to find the vandals responsible for costly car damage in a Greenville County neighborhood. Deputies say vandals cut nearly 40 tires in the Jamestowne Commons neighborhood off Old Spartanburg Road and East North Street .

"Actually they went all the way down the row here and all the way up," said resident Anthony Alexander.

Greenville County Sheriff's deputies responded to the neighborhood around 3 a.m. Tuesday morning after reports of someone hearing deep voices outside. Despite using K9's, the Sheriff's Office says they never located the vandals.

"When you start seeing whole rows of people having it, it makes you wonder who would do something malicious like that," said resident Bill Weaver.

This is the second time someone vandalized cars in the Jamestowne Commons neighborhood. Just last week, the sheriff's office says someone slashed about 20 tires there.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office tells 7 On Your Side it will increase manpower in the area. On top of that, a property investigator is now assigned to these cases.
