Maria Satira's "The Dog Blog" – The Beach Hound

Posted: Updated:
Who knew taking a dog to the beach would be such a fiasco.  Then again, I've never taken a dog to the beach, so I didn't really know much at all.

Roman and I ventured to Topsail Beach, while my grandma was visiting my aunt, uncle and cousin, who live there.  Of course, we ended up at the beach for a walk.

As I mentioned in my first "The Dog Blog" entry, Roman is a young adult dog… 3-years-old, maybe. He has a whole three years of life I know nothing about.

Well, clearly the beach was not part of his first few years.

He hated the water but loved chasing the birds. I thought I was going to lose my arm trying to pull him back from chasing them down all 26 miles of the island.

Maybe after a few visits the beach will grow on him, doubtful, but maybe. Either way, I could still watch this video all day – I've never seen him move so fast! (Clearly, I got a kick out of it - I'm laughing the whole time!)

The visit to my aunt's was quite an experience - I'll have more about it in my next entry. I hope you're "itching" to read it!

Thanks for stopping by!
Maria & Roman

7 On Your Side Investigations uncovered new documents that detail a “politically sensitive” proposal for overhauling the Greenville County EMS system. The plan would change the way ambulances respond in a 9-1-1 emergency and would give control of the life-saving service to the county's largest hospital chain, Greenville Health System.
