RIPLEY, TN - A Tennessee woman has fired back at critics for the unusual way she included her baby daughter in her recent wedding.

Shona Carter-Brooks, of Jackson, Tenn., secured her 1-month-old daughter on the train of her wedding dress as she walked down the aisle.

Carter Brooks, who married Jonathan Brooks on Memorial Day weekend, walked down the aisle with her daughter dragging behind wrapped in the enormous amount of material

Carter Brooks fired back at the criticism by letting her friends know she is not letting the negative comments ruin her recent nuptials.
It appeared as if Shona Carter-Brooks’ extravagant gown was altered to accommodate the baby.

She now says baby Aubrey was awake, safe, and "covered by Christ," during the incident.

Carter-Brooks has since taken to her Facebook page after being criticized for her actions.

“…People questioning what we do, commenting all negative and just doing the most. We [are] good though, we covered by the Blood which never loose [sic] power. … The answer is we do what we want when we want long as Jesus on our side everything worked out fine and gone continue to be fine. Our one-month-old was awake and well secured on my train. Most important while y’all got [your] feelings in us, we had our hearts in Christ which covers all!”

The baby appeared unharmed during her walk down the aisle at the Elam Baptist Church in Ripley, Tenn.
