ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. - One man died following a motorcycle crash Tuesday off Hayes Road in Anderson County.

Troopers say the driver of a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle was headed west on Chuck Drive Tuesday night when he went into a curve, ran off the right shoulder of the road and hit a fence. The man was thrown off his bike.

Emergency crews rushed the man to the hospital where he died Wednesday morning.

Troopers say he was not wearing a helmet.

The Anderson County Coroner's Office has identified the motorcycle rider as 29 year old Derrick Marrone of Anderson.

Deputy Coroner Don McCown says Marrone was declared brain dead and taken off of life support Wednesday.
