Aloft Balloon Festival To End, Filing For Bankruptcy

SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. - Aloft, the Upstate hot air balloon festival, will no longer take place.

The board of directors and event organizers announced Wednesday that the event "will be no more due to lack of attendance."

Aloft, Inc. is currently in the process of filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

The event has been going on for three decades and featured balloons, music and games.
