SPARTANBURG, S.C -
Spartanburg County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man and are a woman following a shooting earlier this month.
Christopher Antonio Davis, 41, of Spartanburg, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in connection with the shooting of Derrick Lamont Williams on June 4 according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies found and arrested Amber Leigh High at a home on Alton Street Thursday afternoon. She has been charged with one count of attempted murder. Her bond was set at $40,000.
According to a report obtained from the sheriff's office, a deputy responded to the intersection of Front Street and Adger Street just after 11 p.m.  after receiving a report that a man had been shot and was laying on the ground. The deputy found Williams suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and he was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
The report states that Williams told deputies that he could not feel his legs, but when asked who shot him he refused to answer. Witnesses told deputies that they heard arguing, followed by 4-5 gunshots, and then a vehicle leave the scene.

During the course of the investigation, deputies say that four shell casings were found at the scene and subsequently identified Davis and High, of Spartanburg, as suspects.
