GREENVILLE, S.C. - One person is dead after an early morning shooting in Greenville County.

The Greenville County Coroners Office said 31 year old Joseph J. Marion of Greenville died after getting into a fight with another party at the Black and Mild Club.

Master Deputy Jonathan Smith of the sheriff's office said that deputies responded to the Black and Mild Club on Hampton Avenue Extension around 3 a.m. after receiving a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they said they found a black male dead from a gunshot wound.

According to Smith, there were very few patrons of the club who were still at the scene when they arrived, and investigators are in the process of trying to find witnesses to the homicide. No suspect(s) have been identified in connection to the shooting.

If you have any information about the incident you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
