SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. -

Deputies in Spartanburg County are looking for a man after they say they found his wife with stab wounds.

Officials say they were called to 308 Lilly Lane in Lyman to check on a woman after a family member became concerned.

When they got there, they say they found the victim with stab wounds and saw her husband running away.

A search is underway for Christopher Allen Middleton.  He is described as a 43-year-old male, standing 5'9" tall and weighing around 220 pounds.  He is bald with some facial hair and was last seen wearing a yellow hoodie, white shirt and green shorts.

Warrants have been issued for Middleton for attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The woman was rushed to the hospital. There’s no word on her condition at this time.

Investigators tell us the couple had been arguing since Thursday night.
