COLUMBIA, S.C. -

Young women from across the state are in Columbia for competition in the 2014 Miss South Carolina Pageant and 2014 Miss Teen SC Pageant.

Saturday Night

The Upstate swept the top five spots at the 2014 Miss South Carolina Pageant Saturday in Columbia.

Lanie Hudson, Miss Anderson, was crowned Miss South Carolina.

Hudson is a 23-year-old from Spartanburg and attends Clemson University.

Hudson clogged to “Think” for the talent competition.

She will compete in the Miss America Pageant in September 2014, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Both title-holders, Miss South Carolina and Miss South Carolina Teen will speak at a press conference on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Embassy Suites-Greystone.

Runners-up for the title of Miss South Carolina are:

First runner up: Miss Boiling Springs, Lauren Cabaniss

Second runner up: Miss Fountain Inn, Daja Dial

Third runner up: Miss Greenville Scottish Games, Kelly Ragan

Fourth runner up: Miss Clemson, Callie Martin

Rounding out the top 10 are:

Miss Capital City, Chandler Parnell; Miss Columbia, Mya Kayler; Miss Greater Hartsville, Anna Brown; Miss Landrum, Jordyn Fox; and Miss Spartanburg, Lustra Miller.

Semi-finalists in the top 16 included:

Miss North Greenville University, Megan Lindler (People’s Choice); Miss Chesnee, Erin Frost; Miss Hilton Head Island, Rachel Tripp; Miss River City, Lara Scott; Miss Spring Valley, Ansley Seay; and Miss Trevilian, Mary Grace Nasim.

Friday Night

Hope Harvard, Miss Greater Easley Teen, was crowned Miss South Carolina Teen 2014 in Columbia.

A double preliminary winner, Hope Harvard is a 16-year-old from Easley.

She attends Powdersville High School.

She performed a character dance on pointe to "Supercalifragilisticexpalidocious" for the talent competition.

She will compete in America's Outstanding Teen Pageant this August in Orlando, FL.

Miss South Carolina will be crowned on Saturday, June 28th at 8 pm at the Township Auditorium.

Runners-up for the title of Miss South Carolina Teen are:

First runner up: Miss Landrum Teen, Makayla Stark

Second runner up: Miss Columbia Teen, Bailey Tyler

Third runner up: Miss Hilton Head Island Teen, Amanda Compton

Fourth runner up: Miss Byrnes High School Teen, Shaylyn Simmons

Rounding out the Top 10 are: Miss South Carolina Sweet Potato Festival Teen, Delaney Cranshaw; Miss River City Teen, Armani Latimer; Miss Spartanburg Teen, Sarah Hamrick; Miss Laurens County Teen, Heather Madden; and Miss Greenville Scottish Games Teen, Berkley Bryant.

Semi-finalists in the Top 16 included: Miss Orangeburg County Teen, Tiarra McCoy; Miss Lexington Teen, Marley Stokes; Miss Capital City Teen, Shelby Cameron; Miss Greater Mauldin Teen, Savannah Kelley; Miss Lyman Teen, Perrin Hines; and Miss Simpsonville Teen. Amberlyn White.

Thursday Night

Four preliminary winners were announced after the third and final night of preliminary competition.

Miss Greater Easley Teen, Hope Harvard, is the only double preliminary winner in both pageants. Harvard won Evening Gown/Onstage Question. She won Talent during the Wednesday preliminary. She is 16 years old, from Easley.

The Miss South Carolina Teen pageant will conclude with the final competition at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 27, when the new title-holder will be crowned. 

Miss Greenville Scottish Games, Kelly Ragan, 23, from Lexington, won the Thursday Talent preliminary in the Miss South Carolina competition. She clogged to “Black Betty.”

Miss Spartanburg, Lustra Miller, 21, from Spartanburg, won the Swimsuit preliminary in the Miss South Carolina competition Thursday.

Miss Columbia Teen, Bailey Tyler, 17, from Taylors, won the Talent preliminary in the Miss South Carolina Teen competition. She sang “I Am What I Am.”

Miss South Carolina 2014 will compete for the title of Miss America in Atlantic City  in September 2014. Miss South Carolina Teen 2014 will compete for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen in Orlando in August 2014.

Wednesday Night

Four preliminary winners were announced after the second night of preliminary competition on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Township Auditorium in Columbia, SC.

Miss Fountain Inn, Daja Dial, 21, from Spartanburg, won the Wednesday Talent preliminary in the Miss South Carolina competition. She sang “Believe.”

Miss Orangeburg County, Shiobahn Fraser, 21, of Greenville, won the Wednesday Swimsuit preliminary in the Miss South Carolina competition.

Miss Greater Easley Teen, Hope Harvard, 16, from Easley, won the Wednesday Talent preliminary in the Miss South Carolina Teen competition. She performed a character dance on pointe to “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”

Miss Laurens County Teen, Heather Madden, 16, from Greenville, won the Wednesday Evening Gown/Onstage Question preliminary in the Miss South Carolina Teen competition.

Tuesday Night

Four preliminary winners were announced after the first night of prelim competition.

Miss Greater Greer, Lia Holman, 21, from Spartanburg, won the Tuesday Talent preliminary in the Miss South Carolina competition. She sang “I Have Nothing.”

Miss Greater Hartsville, Anna Brown, 21, from Greer, won the Tuesday Swimsuit preliminary in the Miss South Carolina competition.

Miss Duncan Teen, Anna Grace Hatchette, 14, from Inman, won the Tuesday Talent preliminary in the Miss South Carolina Teen competition. She performed an Irish Step Dance to “Dueling Violins.”

Miss Landrum Teen, Makayla Stark, 15, from Boiling Springs, won the Tuesday Evening Gown/Onstage Question preliminary in the Miss South Carolina Teen competition.

The new Miss SC and Miss SC Teen will be presented in the final crowning event on Saturday at Township Auditorium in Columbia.

Miss South Carolina 2014 will compete for the title of Miss America in Atlantic City, NJ, in September 2014. Miss South Carolina Teen 2014 will compete for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen in Orlando, FL, in August 2014.

The final night of competition will be held Saturday at the Township Auditorium in Columbia.

    Two teenagers were rushed to University Medical Center in serious condition, that according to emergency dispatchers, who said they fell more than 12 feet from a ride at Saint Anthony's Bazaar on Sunday night.It happened shortly past 10 p.m.Dispatchers said firefighters also requested a ladder to rescue somebody stranded on the ride. The Crimes Against Children unit is investigating. There was no immediate indication from police of why that unit is involved.
