NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -

Late Friday night, June 20, a North Myrtle Beach police officer noticed a 2002 GMC Sierra pickup truck with more than a dozen people in the back bed of the truck. He observed several containers of alcohol and cases of beer.

He pulled over the driver near Lake Drive and 52nd Ave North. The police report indicates they were three people riding in the cab of the truck and another 13 in the bed of the truck.

In addition to several cases of beer, there was a beer bong in the back seat, an unopened beer in the glove compartment.  The officer reports all individuals admitted to drinking throughout the day except the driver.

Sixteen people were arrested in all.  They face various alcohol possession and consumption charges.
