Tree Dedicated In Memory Of Stillborn Giraffe

GREENVILLE, S.C. -

The Greenville Zoo held a tree dedication Saturday for Roho, the Giraffe that was stillborn on August 20th.

People from the Zoo and community gathered Saturday morning and planted a tree near the viewing area of the giraffe exhibit. 

The name 'Roho' came from over 400 name suggestions submitted to the Greenville Zoo for the Giraffe. Roho is a Swahili word meaning "spirit".
