
Anne Maxwell joined 7 News in May of 2018 and is a Greenville-based reporter for 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts. She is thrilled to be in the Upstate and feels privileged to serve this community.
Anne began her career as an associate producer at WAGT in her hometown of Augusta, Ga. She later joined WJBF NewsChannel 6 in Augusta, where she was the lead reporter for their 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts. She also served as a fill in anchor and producer and a one-woman investigative unit.
Anne has covered stories ranging from the case of accused NSA leaker Reality Winner, to The Masters, to allegations of abuse at the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Her investigative reporting exposing how Georgia Power shareholders and financiers have made more than $1 billion in profit from a nuclear power plant that is billions of dollars over budget and still under construction has been honored by the Georgia Associated Press.
Anne graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in May of 2015 with an ABJ in public affairs journalism and a BA in history.
