
Gordon is an anchor and reporter with 20 years of experience in the Upstate of South Carolina. He is an investigative reporter and weekday 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11 p.m. anchor.
Gordon has been honored for his work with dozens of first place awards in political, consumer, environmental, sports, feature, series, investigative and spot news reporting from the Associated Press and the Radio and Television News Directors of the Carolinas including “South Carolina Television Reporter of the Year” in 2002, 2003 and 2005.
Gordon was named “TV News Reporter of the Year” for both Carolinas in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
The South Carolina Broadcasters Association awarded Gordon the “Award of Merit” as the state’s reporter of the year in 2012, 2013 and 2014 as well as the “Star Award” for reporter of the year in 2015 and 2016.
Gordon has been nominated for Emmy awards in more than a half dozen reporting categories, winning one, for a story about a young golfer with an especially sweet stroke.
The real highlight of Gordon’s career came in March of 2011. Upon joining WSPA, he’s been matched with some of the best producers, photographers and reporters in journalism. Gordon believes this is the best team he’s ever worked with and hopes the best years of his career are just beginning.
Gordon is married to his college girlfriend, Beth, and has two beautiful (and kind) daughters.
