Grant Roberts Headshot

Grant Roberts joined WSPA as the weekend morning Meteorologist in September 2022. You can watch him from 6 a.m. until 8 a.m. every weekend.

Grant is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and he has always been fascinated with the weather from an early age. Thunderstorms are his favorite and what got him interested in the weather in the first place. He also enjoys a beautiful sunrise and sunset.

The very year Grant graduated high school was the same year the University of Tennessee at Martin started up a meteorology program. He started out as one of four students pursuing meteorology, but graduated with over 15 in his class. During his time at Martin, Grant would anchor the news and give forecasts for on campus.

Grant started his television career at KPLC-TV in Lake Charles, LA where he started out as a weekend meteorologist and moved up to weekday Noon and 6:30 p.m. meteorologist. During which time, Grant gained lots of experience covering the tropics including Hurricane Harvey. Grant then moved north to join KSLA in Shreveport, LA. Here, Grant was able to gain more experience on severe weather. Combine the heat, tropical weather, and all in between, Grant is ready to tackle the challenge of forecasting the Upstate and the Mountains.

Grant and his wife have a dog, Ruby, and two cats, Charlie and Marley, together. They both love spending time outdoors as well as streaming the latest TV shows and go head to head when it comes to their favorite football teams. She loves LSU and the Saints, and Grant loves the Tennessee Vols and Titans.
