Henry joined the 7NEWS team in December 2019 as a multi-media journalist. Since joining WSPA, Henry has been promoted to weekend-morning anchor and has served the station as a weather forecaster.
Originally from Colorado, Henry moved to the Upstate following his graduation from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Telecommunication – News and a certificate in meteorology and climatology from UF.
Prior to joining team, Henry was an award-winning reporter and anchor for WUFT-TV/FM and a forecaster for WRUF-TV.
While in Gainesville, he covered white nationalist Richard Spencer’s tense visit to campus, worked on in-depth team reporting on gun violence in American schools and helped provide severe weather coverage to Florida and the Palmetto State during Hurricanes Michael, Dorian and Florence.
Outside of reporting news, Henry loves animals, weather, running, hiking, CrossFit, college football (Go Gators!), listening to/playing music and spending time with family and friends. He enjoys reporting on the weather, politics and consumer-related stories.
He is excited to be living in the Upstate and to be part of the community here.
