Jackie Brown

Jackie Brown joined 7NEWS in 2018 and is a weekend morning meteorologist.

Born in Spokane, Washington, Jackie grew up traveling as her father was in the United States Air Force. Okinawa, Japan, Kansas, Baltimore and New Jersey were the places she lived through childhood and College.

In 1991 while living in Wichita, Jackie’s house got hit by a tornado, which sparked her interest in weather.

Jackie headed to Coppin State University where she received a full basketball scholarship and had a successful basketball career.

After college, she headed back west to Spokane Washington, where she hosted successful radio shows at the TOP 40 and Hip Hop Stations at KXLY broadcast group and was also a weather anchor there. She also hosted, “The Saturday Night Cinema,” which aired on the local PBS.

Before coming to South Carolina, Jackie was the morning meteorologist at 44 News in Evansville, Indiana for over 3 years.

She is so happy to be in the South with all the friendly faces and warmer weather.
