Jennifer is a reporter for 7 News. She was born and raised in Greenville, S.C. Her passion for storytelling took over while attending Mauldin High School, as she spent most weekends waking up at the crack of dawn to compete at Speech and Debate tournaments that led to winning three S.C. State championships in events like Humorous Interpretation.
After graduating with honors, she left for La Mirada, Calif. to study journalism at Biola University. She led Biola’s weekly newscast “Eaglevision” as the Executive Producer/Main Anchor and reported in the Los Angeles area as a digital journalist, and also served as an intern at the number one news station in Los Angeles, ABC7 Eyewitness News. Summers back at home were spent working for The Greenville Journal and for WYFF News 4 as an intern.
Jennifer continued to compete in public speaking events, leading Biola’s Speech and Debate team as Team Captain. She was named the National Champion of Communication Analysis and was also awarded the Forensics “All American” Award. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, she returned to Greenville to become part of the launch team for OneMinuteNews, a personality-driven online newscast geared towards a millennial audience.
She worked for two years as an anchor/producer before joining WSPA as a digital journalist for 7 News. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys taking long walks with her basset hound, Walter, hiking, going to concerts and spending time with family.
