Sophia Radebaugh

Sophia graduated from Clemson University in May of 2020 with a degree in English and Sports Communication, but her love for journalism started way before her college career.

As a young girl, she began journaling every day. She found that writing about the events and people surrounding her intrigued her, and that’s when she realized she was in love with telling the stories of other people!

Since then, she has been an anchor/reporter for Clemson’s student-run TV station, an intern for WCBD, WSPA and WBTV, a co-host on 105.5 The Roar, a writer for Clemson Sports Talk and The Tiger Newspaper, and the digital reporter for Clemson Tigers Network.

She has gotten to experience so much through her passion for journalism. Covering Clemson Football’s National Championships, interviewing Hall of Famers, and investigating student affairs at Clemson University, just to name a few.

During her junior year at Clemson, she did an investigative piece that uncovered the real reasons Clemson University cut funding from the student affairs budget. This story allowed members of student organizations to fight for their chance to receive more funding, and some were successful.

Off camera, she loves to take beach walks in her hometown of Charleston, SC, read, run, watch basketball, spend time with loved ones and find the best places to eat!

Sophia is so excited to serve Carolina’s Family at WSPA. She’s committed to this community and the people in it.
