Before moving to South Carolina, Tobias began his career as a Multimedia Journalist at KAVU in Victoria, TX. While he was there, he was the live nightly reporter covering breaking news and human interest pieces in a market right in the middle of Texas’ biggest cities: Austin, Houston and San Antonio. Some of his favorite stories included covering a synthetic Marijuana epidemic in Victoria and a weekly series written and produced by himself called “Crossroads Stories with Tobias Rodriguez”.
Tobias was born and raised in New Mexico and graduated from the New Mexico State University School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While attending NMSU, Tobias worked with the college run student television program News 22 which ran on the El Paso/Las Cruces PBS affiliate. He also interned for KRIS/KZTV in Corpus Christi, TX, and worked as a student intern for KRWG in Las Cruces, NM and El Paso, TX.
