GREENVILLE, S.C. (Furman Athletics) – The Furman Paladins have cracked the Stats Perform Top 25 Poll for the first time this season with a No. 24 ranking, it was announced today.

Furman (6-2, 4-1 SoCon), coming off a 41-3 Southern Conference road victory over VMI on Saturday and winners of three straight, is ranked for the first time since Apr. 3, 2020.

The Paladins play host to No. 7 ranked Chattanooga (6-1, 4-0 SoCon) this Saturday in a 2:00 p.m. contest that will highlight Homecoming Weekend at Furman.

Two other SoCon teams, Samford (No. 13) and Mercer (No. 16), are also ranked in the Top 25.

The last time Furman faced a Top 10 ranked opponent in Paladin Stadium was 2018, when the Paladins knocked off then sixth-ranked Wofford, 34-14.
