From deals on tacos to piñatas ready for smashing, restaurants across Greenville have all kinds of specials prepared for Cinco de Mayo. Jennifer Martin gives us a breakdown.
On Cinco de Mayo only, Papi’s Tacos will have 2 special tamale combo options for $10 at the downtown Greenville location as well as Tostadas de Tinga. Locations inside Growler Haus in Fountain Inn and Spartanburg will feature pork carnitas tamales and cheese and sweet pepper tamales for $4, churros for $3 and horchata for $2. Crafted at Nose Dive is offering a special punch of the week called “Cinco de Puncho.” The bar opens at 4pm.
Connolly’s Irish Pub is having a party called “O’Cinco de Mayo: The Irish Hijack” from 7:30pm until 2am. They will have beer specials, serve Irish and Mexican foods, and have music from an Irish band, mariachi band and bagpipe players.
From 11:30 to 2am, Gringos is celebrating Cinco de Mayo inside the restaurant and in the parking lot featuring Zoomball, DJs, piñatas, coconut margaritas and tacos. Outdoor festivities kick off around 5pm.
Dive ’n’ Boar is having a “Dive n Five” celebration where all specials, including drinks and taco small plates, are $5. Trivia is at 8pm and Brooks Dixon and the Noble Sound will play at 9:30pm. For more info, click here.

RJ Rockers is having a fiesta in Spartanburg starting at 3pm and is releasing a new beer “Juan in a Million.” There will be live music and a tacos from the Farmers Table food truck.
