ANDERSON CO., S.C. (WSPA) – One man is in custody and another remains at large after a high-speed chase that started in Anderson County ended in the city of Easley.

Easley police say the chase started after reported break-ins Sunday in the Highway 76 area of Anderson County.

Police say the chase ended when the two suspects went down a dead-end road and ran after abandoning their car near Auston Woods Apartments.

One man was taken into custody, while K-9 officers searched for the other suspect.

Detective Nikki Carson with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Andre Deleon Glover.

The 27-year-old Charlotte man is charged with reckless driving and failure to stop for blue lights, according to jail records.

An incident report states Glover and another man were seen busting out the window and entering a truck on Interstate Boulevard.

A deputy spotted the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop the driver, but the driver led the officer on a pursuit.

During the chase, the suspect illegally passed vehicles, ran red lights and entered intersections without stopping, the report states. The pursuit continued into Pickens County and Easley where Glover wrecked.
