BLACKSBURG, SC (WSPA) – Deputies say they’ve arrested one person and are still looking for another after a man was shot in his pickup truck on Wilderness Trail in Blacksburg on July 12.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office says the shooter, who they’ve identified as 38-year-old Timothy Paul Smith, walked up to the victim’s pickup truck and shot them multiple times.

The victim was flown to Spartanburg Medical Center for their injuries.

Deputies say the Smith is wanted on a charge of Attempted Murder and is believed to be in the York County area but has connections to Washington state.

A second suspect, 35-year-old Elisha Rae Henderson, is charged with Accessory After the Fact 

Henderson is being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
