STARR, SC (WSPA) – Fire crews responded to a mobile home fire in Starr Friday night.
According to Anderson County dispatchers, Starr Fire Department and Homeland Park Fire Department firefighters responded to the fire on Martin Road.
Starr Fire officials said when crews arrived on-scene, the home was fully engulfled in flames.
Firefighters went into the home and pulled a victim out.
The person was then taken by ambulance to an awaiting helicopter a short distance away, and was flown to the Augusta Burn Center.
Fire officials said it took crews at the scene about five minutes to get the fire under control.
Officials said firefighters would be staying on-scene for awhile to check for hotspots.
