SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – A woman has been taken to the hospital after her car was struck by a train in Spartanburg County.
The crash happened on Keltner Avenue near Southport Road.
Highway Patrol says the woman’s car stopped at a stop sign by the tracks and was stuck inside the stop arm barricade.
The woman was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle for unknown injuries.
Norfolk Southern says its train had 1 locomotive and 21 rail cars and was unable to stop in time.
No charges have been filed in the crash that happened around 4:15pm.
