1 hurt in possible drive-by shooting in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Anderson County Sheriff’s Office officials confirmed a male victim was shot in the elbow in a potential drive-by shooting Wednesday afternoon.

According to Sgt. JT Foster, the shooting happened at Allen Street and Lewis Street.

Foster said the victim was walking down the road when an unknown person in a vehicle stopped and asked the victim to pay a debt. When the victim refused, he was shot.

According to Foster, the victim has non life-threatening injuries and claims that he doesn’t know the person who shot him.

The victim reportedly does not want law enforcement to investigate or press charges.

Foster said the shooting suspect is believed to be a male who was driving a silver Toyota 4Runner.

According to Foster, this was an isolated incident and said there is no threat to the public.
