1 person airlifted following single-vehicle crash near Belton

One person was airlifted Sunday morning after a single-vehicle crash in Anderson County.

Emergency crews responded to the wreck just after 11 a.m. on Belton – Honea Path Highway near Guthrie Road, according to 7News Crews on scene. 

Crews on scene said the vehicle ran off of the highway and up a railroad embankment before overturning. The car came to a rest on the railroad tracks. 

The driver was ejected from the car and airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital, according to crews on scene. 

South Carolina Highway Patrol will continue to investigate the crash.
