CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – The Charleston Animal Society says 10 of the German Shepherds rescued from an animal cruelty case in Georgia have been adopted.
The ten dogs were brought to the Lowcountry after the National Humane Society called in the Charleston Animal Society to help earlier this month.
More than 160 German Shepherds were found living in deplorable and unsanitary conditions in rural eastern Georgia.
The dogs were driving back to CAS’s facility in North Charleston where they were provided on-site medical care.
We’re told the Animal Society will continue medical care for these dogs in the weeks ahead as they recover.
