GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Ten people were injured in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a Greenlink bus that happened on White Horse Road at Crestfield Road in Greenville Co.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. on Thursday.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Sutherland said the Greenlink Bus was stopped and headed east on Crestfield Road at a traffic light.
A Volvo tractor trailer was traveling north on White Horse Road.
Sutherland said the bus and the tractor trailer entered the intersection and crashed.
The driver of the Greenlink bus — Julius Rhones, 54, of Greenville — was injured in the crash.
The driver of the tractor trailer — Mark Linden, 58, of Campobello — was not injured in the crash.
Linden was charged with disregarding a traffic signal.
A firefighter said 9 people, who were on the bus, were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
The bus has since been removed. Crews cleared the scene on White Horse Road around 5:45 p.m.
