MCDOWELL COUNTY, NC (WSPA) – McDowell County Sheriff’s Office officials arrested two people after they allegedly assaulted deputies who were responding to a call about a disturbance at a local state park.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, deputies responded to Lake James State Park in regards to a disturbance at around 9:40 p.m. on March 30, and located Bradley Christian Salois, 24, and Megan Nicole Lance, 24, both of Asheville, in the woods yelling.
During an investigation, both Salois and Lance reportedly ran from deputies, assaulted the deputies and damaged a Taser.
According to the release, Salois and Lance also had two grams of marijuana in their possession.
Salois was charged with assault on a government official or employee and damage to personal property.
Lance was charged with resisting a public officer, assault on a government official or employee and possession of marijuana.
A second deputy also charged Salois with resisting a public officer, possession of marijuana and assault on a government official or employee.
