SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said two people were found dead inside a home on Anderson Drive on Tuesday night.
Wright said three children, including an infant, 6 and 10-year-old were found inside the home. All of the children were reportedly unharmed.
Authorities believe the deaths are a murder suicide.
The coroner identified the two dead as 31-year-old Daryl Lee Foster and 26-year-old Rickeya Latrice Stroble, both of Anderson Drive.
“The case is being investigated as a homicide-suicide where Mr. Foster was the aggressor at this time,” Coroner Rusty Clevenger said in a statement.
During a news conference, the sheriff asked for prayers for the children involved.
“Just trying to love on these babies,” Wright said. “You’ve got three children now that are going to have to depend on some extended family for sure. I wanted to take them home myself. So does everybody else. Professionals will take care of them, but I want you to start praying for them.”
Deputies and the coroner’s office are working to determine events leading up to the deaths.
