2 DOT workers rescued from flooding in McDowell Co.

MCDOWELL CO., NC (WSPA) – Two Department of Transportation workers were rescued from flooding in McDowell County, Tuesday night.

The water rescue happened along Catawba River Road near the Catawba Falls Campground.

McDowell County Emergency Management says the workers are safe.

The Catawba Falls Campground was evacuated earlier in the evening due to flooding.
