HENDERSON Co., SC (WSPA) – A juvenile and an 18 year old are charged after a Snapchat video showed them on school property with guns, according to the Henderson Co. Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they got a call on April 28 from an out-of-state caller about a video on Snapchat.
The video showed a driver and a backseat passenger, both displaying weapons and picking up a person on school property.
Detectives say the video was taken earlier in the day at Rugby Middle School.
They identified the driver and the juvenile passenger riding in the backseat.
Detectives say the juvenile appeared to have an AR-15 style rifle.
He was identified and charged with one felony count of possession of a weapon on educational property.
They say the driver, Austin Xavier Dunn, 18, of Morgan Rd. in Hendersonville appeared to have a black semi-automatic handgun.
Dunn is charged with one felony count of possession of a weapon on educational property.
He was arrested on May 1 and released on a $2,000 secured bond.
Deputies say more charges could be brought.
