BLACKSBURG, SC (WSPA) – Two people are recovering after a home invasion and shooting in Blacksburg.

It happened shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday at a home on Whisonant Street.

Blacksburg Police Chief Jamie Ham said the victims were playing a video game when three armed subjects entered the trailer and demanded money. At one point, the homeowner’s dog went to one suspect and that’s when the homeowners tried to wrestle gun away from a suspect.

Chief Ham said one victim was shot four times and another victim was shot once. The dog was also shot. Police say it doesn’t appear their injuries are life threatening and the dog is also expected to be OK.

The crime remains under investigation by police.

No arrests have been made as of 11 a.m. Monday.
