2 killed, 2 hurt after SUV flips on I-85 in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON CO., SC (WSPA) – A brother and sister are dead after they were thrown from their SUV during a crash along Interstate 85 in Anderson County, Saturday morning.

Highway Patrol says the crash happened early Saturday morning near mile marker 7.

Troopers say the SUV ran off the road and overturned.

The Anderson County Coroner says 20-year-old Nicholas Wolwark and 15-year-old Kirana Wolwark were not wearing seatbelts when they were thrown from the SUV.

Nicholas died at the scene while Kirana was flown to AnMed Health Medical Center where she later died.

The driver, a 17-year-old girl, was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital for her injuries while the front seat passenger, a 57-year-old woman, was flown to AnMed for her injuries. Both were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

All of the victims were from Kennesaw, Georgia.

The coroner says the family, a mother and her three children, were traveling from Kennesaw to Spartanburg.
