2 men, 1 teen charged in May home invasion, shooting in Due West

ABBEVILLE Co., SC (WSPA) – Police in Due West said they’ve arrested three people in connection to a shooting that happened just over a month ago.

According to police, Kyron Bailey, 21, Nicholas Young, 17 and a 15-year-old were each charged with attempted murder, burglary, conspiracy and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Police said they were the ones who broke into a woman’s house on Johnson Street wearing masks and shot her while her daughter was in the house.

That mother was airlifted to the hospital shortly after.

At the time of the shooting, three schools, including Erskine College, were put on lockdown.

Bailey and Young are being held at the Abbeville County Detention Center.
