2 students charged for threats at West Henderson HS, deputies say

HENDERSON CO., NC (WSPA) – Two students at West Henderson High School have been arrested after a reported threat at that school.

According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, 17-year-old Gordon Kaster Martin and a 16-year-old student have been charged with Communicating a Threat of Mass Violence at an Educational Facility.

Deputies say school administrators and the School Resource Deputy responded to and investigated the threat.

The Sheriff’s Office says the safety of students and the school was maintained at all times.

Both students will be charged as adults and were given $4,000 bond.
