LAURENS COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people on burglary and theft charges on Thursday.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, investigators arrested Shanna Joann Reeves, Dustin Jason Boswell and Stephen Toy Boiter in relation to a burglary and theft on Highway 72 West in Clinton.
Sheriff’s office officials said during the incident several air condition units and other items valued around $2,000 were stolen by the suspects.
According to the release, the suspects also caused significant damage when they broke windows to get in one of the houses.
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office crime scene unit was able to link the suspects to the crimes through evidence at one of the scenes.
Reeves and Boswell were both charged with burglary-2nd degree and two counts of larceny.
Boiter was charged with burglary-2nd degree and larceny.
Reeves, Boswell and Boiter were arrested and taken to the Johnson Detention Center, where they are awaiting a bond hearing.
Sheriff Don Reynolds issued the following statement:
“This type of criminal activity will not be tolerated in Laurens County. I am striving to make Laurens County a safe place to work, live, and raise our families, so let it be known; if you choose to push drugs in our county or steal from our hard working, law abiding citizens, we’re coming after you with every resource at our disposal”
