7 arrested in Horry Co. undercover prostitution operation

Seven people were arrested after Horry County police conducted an undercover prostitution operation. 

Horry County Police Department’s Narcotics and Vice Unit conducted an undercover prostitution operation on Wednesday, according to a press release from Mikayla Moskov, with Horry County Government. The operation involved several locations across the county. The following people were arrested and charged in the operation:

Pei Cai, 43, of Myrtle Beach
Weifen Chen, 61, of Conway
Shuizhi Jin, 47, of Flushing, NY
Pan Ruifang, 49, of Little River
Yuqin Wang, 55, of Myrtle Beach
Baoping Wu, 46, of Myrtle Beach
Jingyu Xu, 53, of Flushing, NY

According an incident report from HCPD, an undercover agent entered Sakura Spa, located in the Myrtle Beach area, around 10:10 a.m. on Wednesday asking for a massage. “During the massage, the suspect went beyond the normal scope of that massage and did violate the SC Code of Law for prostitution.”

Around 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, an undercover officer went to the China Doll Spa, located at 3901 Dick Pond Road in the Myrtle Beach area, and paid for a massage, says an HCPD incident report. “A money transaction was made with the officer and the arrestee in return for a lewd act.”

A separate incident report says members of HCPD’s Narcotics and Vice unit conducted an undercover operation at 4811 Highway 17 Bypass in the Myrtle Beach area around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. “During the course of this operation the arrestee did agree to conduct acts sexual in nature in exchange for Horry County police marked US Currency.”

An undercover officer went into the Oasis Spa, located at 440 Hwy 90 E, Suite 7, in Little River around 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday and paid for a massage, according to a separate incident report. “A money transaction was made with the officer and both arrestees in return for a lewd act.”

Around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, HCPD Narcotics and Vice members conducted an operation at 2100 Old Highway 17 in the North Myrtle Beach area, says an incident report. “During the course of this operation the defendant did agree to conduct acts sexual in nature in exchange for Horry County Police marked US Currency. In doing so the defendant did commit the crime of prostitution.”

Another incident report says an undercover agent entered Great Massage, located in the Conway area, around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, asking for a massage. “During the massage, the suspect went beyond the normal scope of that massage and did violate the SC Code of Law for prostitution.”
